This listing features a vintage Navajo handcrafted squash blossom necklace made from sterling silver and gem grade turquoise. Weight - 220 Grams - 7.76 Ounces.

Length From End to End - 27. Naja Measures - 3-1/8 tall by 3 wide. Blossom Measurements - The blossoms graduate up in size from the Naja at 1-3/4 long by 1-1/8 wide too just under 1-3/4 long by 1 wide. Top Center Naja Stone Measures - 7/8 tall by 3/4 wide. Pearls Measure - 5/16 in diameter.

Stamped Sterling - NO, tested and verified. Signed by Artist - YES, with initials VI deeply stamped on the Naja. Mid too Later-Mid Century, Early 70s+. Condition - Preowned, in very good vintage condition with original stones and a naturally aged patina, ready to wear or display. This large and heavy necklace was beautifully crafted by a skilled Navajo silversmith during the later-mid century.

It features large turquoise stones bursting with gorgeous colors and matrixes. 7 stones adorn the Naja, all bordered by classic twisted rope, while the top center stone rests over a larger bed of silver with curved silver works surrounding it. The 10 blossoms follow the same design of the Najas top center stone with sturdy triple fluted bottoms. All of the stones are secure in their settings and in mint condition with the exception of a hairline crack in one stone. They stones have beautiful deep shades of blue and green along with contrasting matrixes running throughout.

The handmade pearls are in excellent condition and strung on a thick wire chain with a classic hook and eye clasp. This item has been left in its original state with a naturally aged dark patina. This Navajo crafted necklace is a fantastic example of Native American culture.

It will last for years to come and be handed down for generations..... Cherish and enjoy this necklace for now..
