This is another incredible find from my nearly-annual visits to the Stanford University Powwow, and possibly the most amazing piece I have owned! This one is from about 38 years ago. This was not a piece that he himself had made, but he said it was Navajo Native American hand-made from years before. I think he said the stone was malachite (if i remember right) and it is huge! It was just the pendant!
I added the 2 little rings so that there would be a way to attach a chain, and then I added the chain (included) that is adjustable, which I thought would be important for such a large piece, so you can wear it long or shorter. Another photo with me wearing it shows the earrings I usually wore with this pendant, which I will be also listing soon! But it is time to downsize my huge jewelry collection in retirement! But do make me an offer if you think my price is too high; I really don't know.
I do think this piece is something special! Look at the details, including on the back!
I cannot find any markings on it, but I assume it is sterling silver, but I'm not positive since it is not marked! Thanks for helping this ol' gal pay her bills in retirement! From an appraisals site for Native American jewelry: " Also, be aware that often times a piece may not be marked "sterling even though it is (Native American makers are, I believe, exempt from US Federal assay marking requirements).
