Native American Navajo Handmade 19G Sterling Silver 24 Linked Chain Necklace. Traditional sterling silver linked chain handmade by Navajo silversmith Sally Shirley. The artist hand wound sterling silver wire around the mandrel and flattend the wire with a mallet, then sawed, then linked and soldered, finally the chain is completed with hook and eye clasp.
The entire process is easy but tedious and time consuming. The chain is oxidized and slightly polished to create old style antiqued finish. Great for wearing alone or adding an old style Native American pendant. A beautiful Native American piece of jewelry to collect and wear! Each oval link measures about 10mm long by 5mm wide. The chain is about 24 long. Each chain weighs about 19 19.4 grams.
You may see the small sterling'blob' on the chain which is left by soldering. Customers should be aware of the rules and regulations of your country for importing goods.
