Native American Navajo Handmade 23G Sterling Silver 24 Linked Chain Necklace. Traditional sterling silver linked chain handmade by Navajo silversmith Sally Shirley. The artist hand wound sterling silver wire around the mandrel and flattend the wire with a mallet, then sawed, then linked and soldered, finally the chain is completed with hook and eye clasp. The entire process is easy but tedious and time consuming. The chain is oxidized and slightly polished to create old style antiqued finish. This thick chain is great for wearing alone or adding a large old style Native American pendant. A beautiful Native American piece of jewelry to collect and wear! We guarantee the entire chain is sterling silver. Each oval link measures about 12mm long by 5mm wide. The chain is about 24 long.
