Genuine Native American Navajo ceremonial rawhide turtle rattle. The shaker is made in the shape of a turtle with hand stitching around the edges. This rattle has a beaded wooden handle that is covered with smooth, dark hand, stitch, rawhide, and accented with brass, beads, feathers and horse hair with rawhide loop for hanging. The creator of the piece is a famous Navajo or artist, born right here in Northern Arizona by the name of Larry Cly. His technique is to create museum, quality reproduction, art, and artifacts, using traditional styles and materials. It measures 13 inches long. It is in good condition with minimal signs of where.
