This is an Old Native American Navajo Squash Blossom Necklace Sand Cast Sterling Yei Naja Pendant 20.5 Inches Handmade. The figure depicted on the sand cast naja pendant is a Yei spirit deity of the Navajo people. The Yei can be found depicted in other Navajo jewelry as well as weavings. This wonderful necklace is in sterling silver (tested) and features 10 long squash blossoms measuring 1 1/2 inches long, and are cable strung with graduated and stamp decorated bench beads measuring in length from 1/4 to 1/2 inches.
The closure is a hook and eye clasp. The sand cast naja measures 2 x 2 inches.
There is beautiful desirable old patina to the necklace. The blossoms flare out quite proudly. The necklace weighs approximately 114 grams and is quite versatile since it is solely Sterling. This is a wonderful necklace in beautiful old condition. No hallmarks or artist signature typical of older pieces.
